Dr. Darin Weyhrich learned the importance of one-on-one care from his father, Dr. Glenn Weyhrich, who founded the Boise OB/GYN practice that his son has helmed for 15 years. Dr. Weyhrich marries time-honored traditions, like pre-examination consultations, with the latest research and technology.
A longtime Boisean and graduate of Boise High, Dr. Weyhrich graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Swarthmore College with degrees in history and economics. He attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, receiving high honors; he then spent an additional year at the Johns Hopkins Hospital as an internal medicine fellow.
He completed his OB/GYN residency at the University of Washington with special research interests in acute fatty liver during pregnancy and fetal heart rate changes associated with uterine rupture. He began practicing in Boise in 2002.
Dr. Weyhrich’s interests include minimally invasive and vaginal surgeries, normal- and high-risk pregnancy care, and health issues that affect women throughout their lives. He’s known for his local talks about menstrual migraines, bioidentical hormone therapy, female sexual dysfunction, and the role of OB/GYNs in primary care.
He’s board certified and recently served as the Idaho chairman of the American College of OB/GYN (ACOG) and as the chairman of St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center OB/GYN.
Dr. Weyhrich is the father of three kids — twin daughters and a son — and enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and dutifully learning to kayak.
